Thanks Giving - October 2022
The Lions Club of Toronto Central took to the streets the day before Thanks Giving to sieze the oppertunity of giving a meal to someone who does not have one. Based on one of the key pillars of the club of alliviating hunger, it was a memorable experience and sense of proudness of being a Lion serving the community. Lions do know it does not need a day to serve the community but Thanks Giving surely makes a wonderful oppertunity.
YOUTH PROJECT
The LIONS CLUB OF TORONTO CENTRAL, in partnering with First Book Canada, initiated a new project of providing books to Indigenous children of Ontario. Lion Region Chair Sandy Heralal-Judhan is our strongest supporter.
ANNUAL LIONS-CNE PEEWEE BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS
Thirty-six teams from Toronto and Southern Ontario compete over 9 days in a single elimination tournament. Expected to compete against Toronto area communities of North Toronto, Scarborough, West Toronto, Etobicoke, East York, Martingrove, North York and Royal York will be rep teams from Mississauga, Barrie, Brampton, Whitby, Georgina, Niagara Falls, Thorold, Richmond Hill, Burlington, Aurora, Ajax, Oakville, Clarington, St. Catharines, Newmarket, Georgetown and Vaughan. LIONS CLUBS throughout Southern Ontario are solidly behind their local teams and 'roaringly' support this prestigious event.
